Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Definitive Edition

Rockstar Games released Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition just yesterday and GTA fans are already exploring the newly remastered cities. One GTA Vice City fan has noticed some significant changes to North Point Mall, one of the game's primary locations.

Grand Theft Auto Vice City fans may be familiar with the Gap-inspired Gash shop in the North Point Mall, but they may be shocked by the detail in the display cases on the first floor near the new Dispensary. Because of all of the changes made to North Point Mall with the Vice City Definitive Edition are so big, comparing the new mall to the old is like comparing the remastered GTA characters to their old models. Although they weren't in the clip, the second floor of North Point Mall also features several new additions.

The map of North Point Mall at its entrance extends beyond being a simple aesthetic for the location as it functions like a real-life mall map does. The left side of it shows a basic layout of both floors of the mall, while the right side of the map shows the name and location of the food court restaurants and each store. If a Grand Theft Auto: Vice City fan wanted to locate a specific store in the mall, they'll be able to refer to the mall map in this GTA Vice City remaster to locate it.

The first floor of the North Point Mall has been remastered in several other ways with Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. There are more couches in the mall than in the original title, more paintings on the walls, and more foliage. Because of the improved visuals of the remaster, the bushes, trees, windows, and map all reflect the performance improvements with the remasters. As No-train-6033 ran around North Point Mall in their clip, it's also noticeable that the light terminating from the ceiling is reflecting off of most surfaces.
